Job Summary

The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems. This role ensures aircraft airworthiness and operational safety by adhering to approved maintenance manuals, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems, including engines, landing gear, hydraulics, pneumatics, and flight controls.
  • Inspect aircraft structures, mechanical systems, and components to identify defects, damage, or wear.
  • Troubleshoot technical malfunctions using diagnostic tools and maintenance manuals.
  • Remove, repair, replace, and install aircraft components and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
  • Conduct functional testing following maintenance actions.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with regulatory standards and company procedures.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities in technical logbooks and tracking systems.
  • Interpret and follow Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), and wiring diagrams.
  • Maintain safe working practices and comply with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and other maintenance personnel.
  • Assist with aircraft ground servicing and pre-flight/post-flight inspections as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or technical certification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Aviation Maintenance Technology.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance within an airline or MRO environment.
  • Valid AME License (Category M1/M2 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
